WestWAPS is the place for all those involved in Adult Placement in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion to access and share information about the various aspects of Adult Placement services.
Adult Placement in West Wales currently consists of two separate organisations - the West Wales Adult Placement Scheme and the Carmarthenshire Adult Placement Service. In some parts of the UK, Adult Placement is known as Shared Lives. The organisation exists to provide home-based accommodation and services to vulnerable people.
Here on WestWAPS.org.uk we aim to provide all the information you will need. Whether you're a Carer, a Service User, an interested Professional or just someone who is interested to learn about Adult Placement, we hope that you will find what you need here - and that you will share your experiences and information with us to make this site stronger and more valuable.
WestWAPS.org.uk came in to existence in June 2010 and was officially launched on 10th November 2010, it is a project run by Commodum Ltd - a Social Enterprise - and Adult Placement Carers in West Wales, with resources contributed by sponsoring organisations.
